change and stuff

well Laura has moved out of the nest. she has a nice little apartment in Bend and desires to set up life on her own and become responsible. i miss her already. i worry about her being lonely but at the same time i do hope she finds a course that takes her to wonderfulness! i suppose i am dealing with the thought of her departure and the common concern that comes upon a mother wondering if her child is ready to be on her own. oh motherhood....

so i've chopped my hair off. i was just ready for a change and with the change at home, i found a little time to make one.

so.... to celebrate the huge changes in our life, (okay i admit they are not that HUGE... Laura was rarely home and i used to cut my hair all of the time) so... to celebrate each other! Bill has surprised me with a trip this weekend. he has had this planned for months and i am personally amazed he was able to keep it in all this time. we are going to:

we have tickets to:

WOO HOO!

my heart literally flutters when i think of this. it may be dorky to you, but seeing Elton John is on our life's list of dreams (it's mine). i love his music and think he is a fabulous songwriter. i am so excited! when i was in Vegas this summer with my momma, sisters and auntie; as Renee and i walked past the "Elton John Store" (yeah kinda like Disney) i felt Elton calling out to me. so i am pretty darn excited that i get to answer that call! Bill even bought me a new red dress to wear.

he also has reservations at:

Bobby Flay's restaurant in las vegas, yummy!

we are staying at what looks like a gorgeous hotel, the Palazzo, that has a great pool that we plan on spending our days at.

as long as Bill can handle that crazy and different culture of Vegas... we will have a GREAT TIME, I am sure(*v*)

so yep, my husband, he is quite a wonderful man. i love him and am very thankful for this surprise!
